ADOPTED!
We couldn’t be happier to announce that our handsome fluffy boy found a forever home. This young guy was destined to spend a lonely life in a garage but instead made his way to Arctic Spirit Rescue where we made sure he had the great life that every dog deserves. Congratulations to all!
Meet Nanuk! This fuzzy 4 year old just arrived and is still being evaluated but so far we’ve heard nothing but great reports from his foster family. Nanuk was relinquished to us when his family realized they couldn’t provide the life and care that he deserved. This happy, social butterfly has handled his new life extremely well. He quickly learned that people are fun and soaks up the attention. His favorite thing is to watch tv on foster Dad’s lap….all fuzzy 65 lbs of him. It’s hard to say no when you understand his past and how desperate for attention he is now.
His crate skills are a work in progress. He doesn’t appreciate being confined but we feel in time and with patient encouragement, he’ll improve. He loves to be a part of everything that’s going on and would appreciate a home where he was not left alone for more than 5 or 6 hours at a time. Nanuk’s a strong boy who pulls on lead which is another skill being addressed in his foster home. He’ll do best in a patient, dog savvy home who understands how to help him be a great canine citizen. Due to his thick northern breed undercoat, regular professional grooms will be necessary. He has a very loving, social temperament with a bright future in the right home.
- Neutered, microchipped, groomed, and up to date on vaccinations
- Needs a dog savvy home who will continue with his socialization
- No young children
- Good with other dogs of similar size but can also be an only dog
Nanuk found his forever home, but we still have other dogs available for Adoption! Check out our Adoptable Dogs page.
