ADOPTED!
Congratulations to Jake for finding the perfect forever family! He now has a canine sibling to spend his days with as well as a Mom and Dad that adore him. We love happy endings!
Gentle Giant! Weighing in at a whopping 77 pounds, 7 year old Jake is a bit larger than the average Husky. This sweet boy has had several homes and shelter stops over the past year before finding his way into rescue. His latest home reported some possible anxiety issues that he is currently being monitored for. Not having been crate trained as a youngster, Jake is not entirely comfortable when he is closed in his crate. Fortunately, he is proving trustworthy in the house when his people are not home. Jake is a quiet boy, who is slowly coming out of his shell with his foster siblings and human foster family. He loves one-on-one attention from his people and is enjoying running and playing with the other dogs in the home. Jake will do best in a home with another dog to play and nap with.
Jake is neutered, housebroken, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. He is working on his crate training and basic commands (he does a very nice sit when his people have food). A typical Siberian, Jake is very aware of open doors and windows (including car windows), so potential adopters must be able to make adjustments accordingly.
Basic Info:
- Jake – Siberian Husky
- 7 years old
- 77 pounds
- No small animals
- Would do best with another canine companion
