Update: Adopted!
We couldn’t be more pleased to announce that our lovely Ella has found her forever home! This beautiful senior husky cattle dog mix waited almost a year. She didn’t want to settle for less than the perfect scenario and we were perfectly fine with that. After spending many years in a neglectful situation before landing in Arctic Spirit Rescue, it was her turn to shine and be spoiled. She is now living in a loving home surrounded by other senior dogs, adults and grandchildren that adore her. It doesn’t get much better than that! Congratulations to Ella and her new family!
Original Bio
Meet our beautiful Ella, a 10 year young Husky/Cattle Dog mix. If you’re looking for an easy keeper, this girl’s for you. She’s very low key but still has so much life left to live. We’ve gotten to know her well and everyone who meets her falls in love. We just can’t believe she hasn’t found her forever home yet! She’s had a senior profile at our vet and is in excellent health with no special needs required. She would be happy to accompany anyone on a leisurely walk and her favorite pastime is lounging quietly in her fenced yard or on a sofa near her people.
Ella has accompanied us on several public events and has interacted beautifully with young children. She has tolerated many little hands coming her way with a calm, gentle demeanor. We feel she would be happy in a home with dog savvy children. She would not be good with cats or small dogs. She tolerates other similarly sized dogs that are respectful of her personal space and chooses avoidance as opposed to confrontation. Such a good girl!
Ella found her forever home but we have other dogs that are still looking! Check out our other available dogs for adoption or fostering!
