We just love happy endings and in Maya’s case, Subaru was the matchmaker! Maya’s adopters met her at Subaru’s 2021 Make a Dog’s Day Fest in Chester, PA. It was love at first sight for this beautiful senior Siberian Husky and her new people. We received an adoption application immediately and it was a perfect match. We are always so grateful when well organized events are made available by companies such as Subaru. Social media venues and websites are also helpful to help available dogs find new homes but in-person events are so important not only to make great matches but to also educate the public about how important the concept of rescue is. We thank Subaru for their support, both financially and for providing the ability to help us make even more friends. Congratulations to all!

13 year old Maya is a classy lady with so much love to give! This gentle, affectionate soul is looking for a soft place to spend her retirement years. She could be placed with children respectful of her senior naps. Other than arthritis which seems to be easily controlled with a daily medication she’s remarkably spry and healthy for her age. She tolerates other dogs but would not appreciate a young dog’s enthusiasm and zest for life. Maya is trustworthy in the house and can be left for a few hours at a time. She loves going for leisurely walks and is pretty easily handled. She’d love to have a fenced yard to roam freely around in. If you’re looking for a quiet, low-key roommate to match your slower lifestyle Maya would love to meet you!
